A JOURNEY TO SHAPE TOGETHER

Kerala, at your own pace

A journey from coastal streets to tea country and the backwaters.

SUGGESTED DURATION8 days / 7 nightsROUTEKochi → Munnar → Thekkady → Alappuzha → Kochi

Your journey, day by day.

Fort Kochi 2 nights · Munnar 2 nights · Thekkady 2 nights · Alappuzha 1 night

  1. DAY 1

    Arrive in Kochi

Settle in after your flight. If arrival time allows, take a short waterfront walk; keep any formal sightseeing for tomorrow.

    OVERNIGHT · Fort Kochi
  2. DAY 2

    The stories of Old Kochi

Explore Fort Kochi’s heritage streets and waterfront, then visit Mattancherry for its palace and trading-quarter context. Check opening days before deciding the order.

    OVERNIGHT · Fort Kochi
  3. DAY 3

    Into the tea hills

Leave the coast for Munnar. Treat this as a transfer day with rest stops, keeping the afternoon flexible rather than promising a full sightseeing programme.

    OVERNIGHT · Munnar
  4. DAY 4

    A day in Munnar

Choose tea heritage and landscape viewpoints. Eravikulam can be considered if open and tickets are available; use a town or tea-country alternative during park closures.

    OVERNIGHT · Munnar
  5. DAY 5

    Across the highlands

Travel onward to Thekkady and settle in around Kumily. A pre-arranged spice-garden visit can add context if the journey leaves enough time.

    OVERNIGHT · Thekkady
  6. DAY 6

    The Periyar landscape

Choose one authorised Periyar programme, subject to advance confirmation. Leave the rest of the day for a relaxed meal and the town; sightings are a matter of chance.

    OVERNIGHT · Thekkady
  7. DAY 7

    Down to the backwaters

Travel to Alappuzha and check into a shore-based stay. Add a short boat outing only if arrival time and conditions allow; an overnight houseboat requires its own confirmed schedule.

    OVERNIGHT · Alappuzha
  8. DAY 8

    A final waterside morning

If your flight permits, take a morning canal outing before the road transfer to Kochi. For an early flight, add a final night nearer the airport.

When to travel

November to February is a useful starting point for this route. Check local weather, festival dates and attraction access before fixing travel dates.

Your accommodation

Choose comfortable hotels, boutique stays or a mix. Specific properties, room types, accessibility and meal plans are confirmed only in your quotation.

What to ask us to include

The following are items to agree in your quotation, not services already booked or included at a fixed price.

  • Accommodation for the agreed nights and room category
  • Road transfers and local transport specified in the quotation
  • Any listed guide, boat or park programme that has been confirmed
  • Meals and entrance tickets only where explicitly itemised

Budget separately for

  • International and domestic flights unless expressly quoted
  • Visa costs, travel insurance and personal expenses
  • Meals, tips and activities not listed in the quotation
  • Optional upgrades, additional nights and changes to the agreed route

This is a proposed itinerary for discussion. Transfer days are deliberately kept light. Exact travel times, driver arrangements, opening days and availability must be checked for your dates before a quotation becomes a bookable plan.
