A JOURNEY TO SHAPE TOGETHER
Across the Western Ghats
Bring Kerala and Tamil Nadu together in one thoughtfully paced journey.
Your journey, day by day.
Fort Kochi 2 nights · Munnar 2 nights · Thekkady 1 night · Madurai 2 nights
- DAY 1
Arrive on the Malabar coast
Arrive in Kochi and settle into the heritage quarter. Leave the day open for rest and a gentle first walk.
OVERNIGHT · Fort Kochi - DAY 2
Kochi’s trading stories
Combine the waterfront and heritage streets with Mattancherry. Choose a small number of sites and check their individual opening arrangements.
OVERNIGHT · Fort Kochi - DAY 3
Climb into tea country
Travel from Kochi into the Western Ghats. Use this as a transfer day, with time to enjoy the landscape and settle into your hill base.
OVERNIGHT · Munnar - DAY 4
Munnar at your pace
Choose a tea-focused visit and viewpoints. Consider Eravikulam only if its visitor area is open; keep a flexible alternative for rain or closures.
OVERNIGHT · Munnar - DAY 5
The spice-growing hills
Continue to Thekkady. Plan a relaxed introduction to Kumily; add a second night here if a full Periyar programme is a priority.
OVERNIGHT · Thekkady - DAY 6
Across to Tamil Nadu
Take the road onward to Madurai, allowing time for the descent from the hills. Avoid scheduling a fixed temple visit immediately after the transfer.
OVERNIGHT · Madurai - DAY 7
A day in Madurai
Explore the temple precinct and palace, following current entry and photography rules. Leave time for markets and a meal that reflects the city’s food traditions.
OVERNIGHT · Madurai - DAY 8
Depart from Madurai
Finish with your onward transfer. Confirm suitable flights before booking accommodation, or allow an extra travel day for an alternative gateway.
Departure
The details that matter.
When to travel
November to February is a useful starting point for this route. Check local weather, festival dates and attraction access before fixing travel dates.
Your accommodation
Choose comfortable hotels, boutique stays or a mix. Specific properties, room types, accessibility and meal plans are confirmed only in your quotation.
What to ask us to include
The following are items to agree in your quotation, not services already booked or included at a fixed price.
- Accommodation for the agreed nights and room category
- Road transfers and local transport specified in the quotation
- Any listed guide, boat or park programme that has been confirmed
- Meals and entrance tickets only where explicitly itemised
Budget separately for
- International and domestic flights unless expressly quoted
- Visa costs, travel insurance and personal expenses
- Meals, tips and activities not listed in the quotation
- Optional upgrades, additional nights and changes to the agreed route
This is a proposed itinerary for discussion. Transfer days are deliberately kept light. Exact travel times, driver arrangements, opening days and availability must be checked for your dates before a quotation becomes a bookable plan.
